Limiting Community Spread
In light of the latest recommendations from Governor Mike Parson and the CDC, we have decided to postpone events and worship at The Downtown Church until we are given the green light. This was not an easy decision, but it takes all of us pulling together to limit and contain this virus.
We are brainstorming what our church's role is during these times and how we can continue to be a family for each other, and the community, as face-to-face interaction is limited. Stay tuned to our social media channels and look for emails as we keep you updated.
If you missed it Sunday, you can catch the message (at least most of it), on our Facebook page. We will plan on something similar for the weeks to come.
As hospitals and nursing homes are limiting visitors, please keep us up to date on any pastoral care concerns. You can email me directly - firstname.lastname@example.org. We know many of our sick and elderly would love to hear from their church family if you get a chance.
It's an honor to be your pastor as we wade through these uncharted waters together. Take time to be in prayer to the One who guides our lives and will always travel with us, and ask yourselves how you can do your part to love God and neighbor in the coming days.
