Last Sunday after worship, about 30-40 of you joined me, Brent Bossi, and our board chair, Megan Keller, for a short town hall meeting. We spent some time updating you on our goals progress so far this year, where we've spent major money, and even fielded some questions.
The reason we want to do this a couple times each year is for several reasons: Radical Transparency, to update you on our financial picture, fill you in on building updates, and to answer any questions you might have.
As we continue to grow, I want to be careful and intentional about building a culture of WE not ME. The Downtown Church has never been focused on one person's vision or desires. Rather, we are driven by OUR vision and values, which were developed by teams of people. And as such, the business of the church, the ways we spend our money and time, our hopes for the future, are shaped by our shared purpose: to be a place where Christ and the community intersect.
